2008.06.10 Ebay Overland Park, KS, United States Up for sale is a 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This isn't just a Trans Am, however, this is a limited edition Comp T/A. SLP put out less than 25 of these with t-tops and the manual 6-spd in 1997 and even fewer that included the Comp T/A floor mats, car cover, short throw shifter, exhaust, and etc. With only 39,XXX original miles this car is still fresh and running strong for a long time to come. Just to clear things up about the title, CarFax shows that this car has a rebuilt title from Illinois but the physical copy I have in hand is completely clear. This car is in great condition. It looks spectacular and performs like a dream. I take very good care of this car, always cleaning it and performing routine maintenance. Every fluid is Royal Purple and the oil & filter are changed every 3k miles. On top of all this, the car has been upgraded in several ways for an even more enjoyable ride. Keep in mind, this car has been modified to perform, it's no Cadillac. It may not be the smoothest ride but it is a thrill to drive and the instant torquey throttle response is a blast when the exhaust is roaring! Modifications: -Pace Setter Long Tube Cermaic Coated Race Headers and Off Road Y-Pipe -SLP 2OTL Resonator dumped before axle -EGR and AIR Pump Delete -Z06 Corvette (C5) 17" rims -Walbro 255lph in tank fuel pump -Lowering springs (unknown but great stance and response) -Denny's Nitrous Ready Driveshaft -Moser 12 bolt rear end with larger 33 spline axles, full spool, upgraded performance cover with main cap studs, 4.10 gears, and a 1350 yoke. -K&N drop in air filter -MB Quart component front speakers -t-top shades -20% window tint on back and side windows with brow -Aggressive aftermarket clutch (unknown) -Lightweight aluminum flywheel (unknown) SLP Modifications (factory upgrades): - V87S + Y82 Trans Am Coupe or T-Top - Bright Silver Metallic Exterior - 13 - AQ9 Ultima Graphite Leather Buckets - 1SA Option Package - R6V Merchandising Option Code - T43 Trans Am Spoiler - QLC High Performance Tires - Functional Composite Ram Air Hood - Dark gray 10" wide center stripe - Matching gray 'Comp T/A' headlamp door and wheel center cap graphics - 3-Dimensional matching gray 'Comp T/A' door graphics - Sport Suspension Package (Bilstein shocks) - Hurst Short Throw Shifter - Heavy Duty embroidered 'Comp T/A' floor mats - 'Comp T/A' Cloisonne dash plaque There are very few defects with this car. With a good eye you can locate an occasional minor scratch but nothing major with the exception of the rear bumper cover. The car slid down a driveway on some ice one evening and backed into a fire hydrant which cracked the bumper cover. I've included pictures of every cosmetic issue with the car on the link above with the exception of the recently broken power antennae (nothing major). The A/C does have a leak so it doesn't hold refridgerant for more than a couple days (that's what t-tops are for!). It's an easy fix though, it's just a connecting hard line with a hole. The interior is nearly perfect except for some scratches on the door panel from the window being broken in the past. The passenger rear "sub" speaker is blown and a bit annoying. I never fixed it because I planned on putting in better 6.5" subs. Occasionally the cd changer acts up and has to be reinserted as well. The car is located in Overland Park, KS and available for viewing by appointment.
